Maintenance of Existing Subdivision
The purpose of this proposal is to upgrade and improve infrastructure, public utilities and amenities in existing subdivisions on State Land and transfer responsibilities for future maintenance to relevant agencies and authorities. Tenants and lessees have been complaining of substandard roads, accesses, footpaths, recreation areas, water and sewer services, and so on in their subdivisions.
These need to be rectified to improve living standards and generally improving their lot. These projects include upgrading of access roads, water supply, sewerage; construction of drains, footpaths, vehicular crossings; erection of gabion walls to arrest soil erosion and landslides; cleaning/clearing of blocked drains to avoid flooding.
These projects are located in various subdivisions existing on State Land in Fiji. These include Kinoya, Narere, Wainibuku, Nasole in the Central Division; Drasa, Lovu, Tavua, Malolo, Navo in the Western Division; and Boubale, Batinikama and Bulileka in the North.
The project is also carried out by our Divisional offices in the West, North and Central.
