Cadastral Maps

Cadastral maps are compilations of survey plans depicting property boundaries. The maps show individual lot numbers, plan numbers, street and road names and names of prominent features. For most of the developed areas at Viti Levu and Vanua Levu digitized cadastral maps and scales at 1:1000, 1:5000 and 1:10,000 are available

Orthophoto Maps
Black and White Orthophotomap series have been produced over and around the main coastal centers of Viti Levu and Vanua Levu. The contour intervals are 2 meters up to 20 metes and 10 metes up to 100 metes on the Cassini grid format. Graticule and grid values are shown as marginal annotations. A limited number of names are shown. Reproduction is by dye line process. Overall size is 960 mm x 666 mm.
Also available are half tones on 1:500 covering the Suva area only. Reproduction is also by dye line for the same price.

Aerial Photos
Black and White coverage exists for the whole of Fiji at scales varying from 1:3,000 ri 1:80,000 and provision is made for replacement when required.
Aerial photographs are normally reproduced on bromide paper on format 230 mm x 230mm. Enlargements and contact copies are prepared on order and available only at the Department of Lands and Surveys Map Shop.

Compilation Topographical
This is a small scale generalized set of multicolor topographical maps for the whole of Fiji in seven sheets showing man made features, drainage, vegetation and relief
The contour intervals vary from 250 to 500 feet. Generalized heights are depicted by height tints.

Topographical Maps
Topographic Maps are produced in standard series based on the Fiji Metric Grid Sheet system. They are bounded by grid lines, but latitudes and longitudes minute ticks are shown around the neat edges. The maps are printed in five colors in which drainage, vegetation and relief are symbolized, road are classified by surface and width, foreshore and offshore features shown.
The standard sheets are 800 mm E-W and 600 mm N - S to neat edges with a map coverage of 40km x 30 km

Photogrametric Compilations
Photogrametric Compilations on positive films cover mostly the developed, heavily forested and areas required for future developments.The scales vary from 1:500 with 0.5 meter contour interval to 1:25,000 with 10 meter contour intervals showing man made, drainage, vegetation and prominent features together with spot heights. Compilations are carried out for Government, Statutory and private organizations.On request special aerial photographic missions are carried out before each photogrammetric compilations.
