Senior Managers Attends Annual Corporate Plan(ACP) Workshop

Senior Managers of the Ministry converged at the Members Lounge, GCC Complex in Nasova on the 5th of August, 2016 to discuss its Annual Corporate Plan for the financial year 2016 - 2017. The one (1) day workshop was officially opened by the Permanent Secretary for Lands & Mineral Resources, Mr Malakai Finau.

PSLMR in his address prompted the participants of the urgent need and the importance of changes that the Ministry needs to implement to its service delivery. Plan that is strategic is prudent to address such as timeliness of the services we provide to the public. He further stressed on the feedback from the Hon. PM’s tour that we need to improve on our customer service and the need to adapt to these changes is critical in providing and delivering better services to our customers.

PSLMR with the assistance of the Director Corporate Services, Mr Jale Kunawalu facilitated the workshop and informed the participants on the importance of all planning documents including, National Strategic Development Plan, Peoples Charter, ACP, BP, IWP, Training Plan, Recruitment & Selection Plan etc and its’ linkages. They are platforms for setting strategic directions and act as our guiding tool to manage and control our finances and resources, identify areas of opportunities.

Participants were given opportunities to discuss and share ideas from their respective Divisions to allow rooms for a more comprehensive outcome of the workshop.

The one day workshop ended at 4.30pm.
