MLMR Thanksgiving Mass
On Friday the 13th of January 2017 the Ministry held its Thanksgiving service at the Nasese Methodist Church (Muanikau Circuit)
During the service the Permanent Secretary Mr Malakai Finau reminded the staff that we have farewelled 2016 and greeted 2017, and it is only fitting that we switch on to the New Year’s tune. Especially since we are beginning with God this New Year and we are seeking His divine intervention in this Thanksgiving Mass.
Quoting from Psalms 23:1 “The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing” the Permanent Secretary for Lands and Mineral Resources stated that he believed that this bible verse portrays God’s will, that makes a difference between our success and failure for 2017 and beyond.
The service was led by Mr Jone Cavu the Principal Plan Assessment Officer and the sermon was delivered by Reverend Tadeo Masitabua and the theme based from Mathew 6:33: SEEK YEE FIRST THE KINGDOM OF GOD AND HIS RIGHTEOSNESS AND ALL THOSE THINGS SHALL BE ADDED UNTO YOU.
Rev Masitabua challenged everyone that:
i) We acknowledge Gods presence, believe in him, trusting Him and put Him first in whatever we do in life.
ii) Our choice in life will determine our destiny and not by chance
iii) We do not boast or be proud of our positions in life, but acknowledge GOD and thank Him for everything.
The service was well attended by the Central Eastern Staffs from the various Divisions within the two departments of the Ministry: Lands Dept. & Mineral Dept.
