Improving Production Development

The Ministry of Lands and Mineral Resources was allocated $800,000 recently in its Budget for its Mineral Investigation Program and $620,000 towards its Groundwater Assessment and Development Project. Mining and exploration in Fiji has been dominated by gold production from the Vatukoula mine although signifi cant revenue also came from other industrial minerals like sand, gravel, quarried stone and coral sand.
