The Ministry launched its 2020 - 2021 Costed Operational Plan (COP) and Business Plan (BP) last week.
The Minister, Hon. Jone Usamate handed over the COP to the Permanent Secretary, Dr Raijeli Taga, whereas the Permanent Secretary handed over the BP’s to the Directors.
The COP is aligned to the 5 year and 20 year National Development Plan and the Business Plan for the Ministry is aligned to the COP.
The Minister while launching the 2020 – 2021 COP and the BP said that these are critical documents for the Ministry and it will play a crucial role in taking the sector to new heights.
These documents present the key target and planned activities for development of the Ministry for this financial year.
The Minister, Hon. Jone Usamate thanked the staffs for their efforts put into the planning documents and for setting directions for the Ministry.
The Permanent Secretary for Lands and Mineral Resources, Dr. Raijeli Taga while speaking at the launch said that the purpose of these planned documents should be to manage the two most important resources that is: lands and mineral resources.
She asked her team to create a culture of teamwork, so that all can work together.
“We have planned these documents together; they are living documents, because they are going to be implemented.”
“You are going to be referring to them to achieve targets that you have set,” Taga said.
