Mr Vikash Rao started work in 2009 as an Administrative Officer (Legal), Divisional Lands Office West.

From there he was transferred to the Headquarters as a Senior Lands Officer in 2015. In 2017, he was promoted as an Acting Principal Lands Officer and was confirmed to the position in 2018.

Furthermore, he was very committed to his work and will be remembered for many things. His hard work and silent diligence on every responsibility delegated to him whether it be work tasks or social responsibilities will surely be missed.

Vikash was a team player and did not hesitate to give his time, his wealth and his expertise to ensure that the team objectives were always fulfilled.

The Director Lands, Irena Nayacalevu commended his hard work. She said his experience and extensive knowledge is remarkable and will be greatly missed.

Assistant Director for Lands, Josefa Vunimatana said that his commitment and service to the greater spectrum of members of the public made him the face of the Ministry.

His untimely loss will leave a big void in the operations of Lands Division and the Ministry as a whole. He will be sadly missed.
