Fiji’s 5-year and 20-year National Development Plan sets an ambitious target to have 100% access to safe, drinking water by 2030. It is Government’s intent that no one is left behind particularly our rural and maritime dwellers.
11 households of Navukebuli Village in Vanua Levu benefit from the $69, 217.25 groundwater reticulation project.
During the commissioning Minister for Lands and Mineral Resources Jone Usamate said: “Through this project, villagers will now be able to enjoy a better quality of life as water plays a critical role in their daily lives; from drinking, bathing, washing and cleaning.”
