The Ministry traditionally welcomed the Hon. Minister Filimoni WR Vosarogo at the Mineral Resources Department, Nabua. 

The auspicious event commenced with a devotion led by Mr. Josevata Turaga. The Hon. Minister was than introduced by the Deputy Secretary and was accorded a traditional welcome and also presented his sevusevu to the Ministry. In his official speech Hon. Vosarogo thanked the Ministry for the warm welcome, and is humbled by the opportunity to serve Fiji and it's people, alongside it's dedicated staff for the next 4 years. 

Hon. Vosarogo encouraged the officer's to work without fear and to serve the citizens of Fiji to the best of their abilities in delivering the government of the day’s commitments and vision. He further stated, that productivity, dialogue and problem solving amongst peers is encouraged and also honoring the reporting lines. “At all times, I encourage that we respect each other, their opinions, persuasions and the different faiths.

He also stressed that officers are to feel free to approach him with ideas. He further stated that without the Ministerial tag he is just like a servant like anybody else.
