Department of Lands 
The Department of Lands is responsible for the effective and efficient administration, development and management of all state land in Fiji. Activities under this programme include surveying, mapping, land valuation, development and maintenance of state land and geographic information system.

Additionally, the Department coordinates the work of the new Land Use Division which was established to implement Government's Land Reform initiative that will pave the way for improved socio-economic growth with a focus on equitable returns to the landowners and security of tenure for the tenants.

The major objective is to Facilitate the Development and Management of Land Resources for Sustainable Socio-Economic Development. We are working towards the Critical Government Outputs of Land Register and Land Reform.

The Department of Lands is one of the two departments with the Ministry of Lands and Mineral Resources which is led by the Honourable Minister Mr. Jone Usamate and Dr. Raijeli Taga as Permanent Secretary.

The Director of Lands is assisted by Assistant Directors who manage our six major divisions including Corporate Service.
